Hello, I would like to ask for your help! I'm looking for a book, but I don't remember the exact title anymore. I'll try to summarize it briefly. So, I've never read this book, I saw it when I was a younger child with one of my older friends, and she read it. There was a girl on the cover, if I remember correctly, either her whole head was covered in an egg, or her eyes were just eggshells, I don't remember exactly. I read the contents, and it said something about how an isolated tribe has a custom of blinding you or sewing something over your eyes when you're young, because they think that if you can see, you can't make good decisions and choose the right path. But the main character, maybe the sewn-on thing slips off her eye, or at least she sees it. And then she discovers some secret. I'm not sure if that was all there was to it, and I'm sure I missed something, but I honestly don't remember anything else, and I really want to read it. They didn't let me at the time (apparently) because I was too young for it, and my mom thought the story was a bit morbid. So I'd appreciate any help and tips.
