I really like The Firebird Chronicles by T.A White and the reason I like it so much is because:
a) its not the real word (fantasy/sci fi –> it can be realistic/contemporary if it has most of the other tropes but PLEASE no historical fiction)
b) the fmc, Kira has so many secrets that make her so strong and stuff like secrets from Graydon (lover), secrets from her uncle, secrets from LITERALLY everyone
c) she doesn't care about her life like she continuously continues to sacrifice it no matter what
d) everyone reprimands her because she doesnt want to live or keeps putting herself in danger
e) despite kira being so powerful and having so many secrets she's still a damsel in distress and Graydon needs to save her
f) she had a condition that was slowly killing her which she knew about but didnt tell anyone
g) sort of a microtrope but i love it when the fmc is injured and in the infirmary, yet she still tries to get up but is inevitably forced to stay there via blackmail because she's still in pain
I know these are very specific requests but please lmk if there are books similar to these tropes/like the Firebird Chronicles I genuinely am so desperate for them 😭🛐
