I just finished Woman in White and need a lighthearted & preferably a romance novel before I start Alchemised. Something under 300 pages. Agar are my options? Please don’t suggest Colleen Hoover et al., I’m fatally allergic to those.

Tress of the Emerald Seas – cute little fantasy that is very Princess Bride-ish but the girl goes out looking for the boy when he doesn’t return. The Princess Bride is a great book too!
Anthem by Ayn Rand. I loved it.
The Rosie Project clocks in at just under 300 pages. It’s very such in the real world, no romantasy.
Anything by Emily Henry orAli Hazelwood if you’re into pure romance. Also I really enjoyed Divine Rivals, though it is a duology
