Am a mom who doesn’t get a lot of alone time.

I want to spend the whole day tomorrow reading. Bonus points if I get to cry.

I would like something with a love story maybe? Think in the vein of Outlander or the Bronze Horseman? But I’m not just stuck to historical romance. I also read Heat the Lover and it made me cry.

Any books you’ve read recently that just made you feel things????

Daughter of the Moon Goddess – Sue Lynn Tan.

Romantasy. Epic adventure. Stunning worldbuilding. Beautiful writing. Based on Chinese mythology. Gorgeous and mythic.

Frozen river!!!!! The fmc is based on a real life midwife from the late 1700s. She is like a real life Claire in many ways and I read the book in like 3 days.

Historical, strong healthy marriage with her husband, well developed characters, mystery, murder, midwifery, medicine 🙂

      I teared up a bunch

    4. Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova, might seem like a strange pick but it’s short and definitely involves love. Unforgettable.

La Belle Famille by A.M. Vergara or her historical fantasy Firefax. Both have high potential for crying but Firefax more so, perhaps.

Another good one for a 48 hour marathon if you like more romance forward fiction might be The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic by Breanne Randall.

    6. As a Mom, and at the time in my 30s, I found What Alice Forgot by Liane Morriarty to be so influential in how I thought about my life as a wife and a mother. It is the ultimate question of would your younger self be proud of what you have become.

    7. I also just finished  Heart the Lover recently–it definitely got me emotional. Have you read her other book Writers & Lovers? (About Casey & Silas I think?) I haven’t read it yet but now it’s on my TBR after liking Heart the Lover

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid had me tearing up a bit. Also loved Carrie Soto is Back by her.

I really liked The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, I haven’t read The Nightingale yet by her, but I know that’s a good, emotional one too!

This might be polarizing, but if I had two full days uninterrupted, I’d want to get lost into a romantasy like ACOTAR…it’s got its flaws, but there is a reason the series is so popular.
