I first read Looking for Alaska by John Green when I was a junior in high school (have reread it several times since) & it has been my favorite book for the past 13 years. Every time I have read it, I feel like I’ve gained a deeper understanding of & appreciation for life & the people we meet along the way.
I typically read mysteries & thrillers bc they tend to grip me most easily, but I am looking for any adult fiction that is reminiscent of Looking for Alaska whether through witty & heartfelt prose, intriguing character/character dynamics, & life lessons that are likely to stay with me long after I’ve read the book. Does anything come to mind??
Thanks so much in advance 🙂

Have you tried The Secret History by Donna Tartt? It’s got that same devastating character study vibe but with college students and way more murder lol. The friendships feel just as intense and fucked up as Looking for Alaska but in a very adult way
