As the title says!! I just finished The Poppy War series and loved it!
What I particularly liked was the main character being morally grey and the lack of romance + the historical/ political parallels as well as the fleshed out side characters and specifically the friendship between rin and kitay!
I was wondering if anyone knows any similar books with a deep friendship like rin and kitay’s as well as the political themes and lack of romance! Leaning towards but not limited to fantasy dystopia! I would prefer if it was a tragedy too!
I put the literary fiction tag as I am way more interested deep drives of a character’s psyche and motives + good character writing over plot!
