I’ve really loved the books I’ve read lately—Where the Crawdads Sing touched me deeply with its pure, stirring love story, and I’m obsessed with The Game Changer series (not just the TV show!). Shane and Roz are my favorite characters, especially Shane: I both love and hate him for his hesitation, his fear of coming out, and the 11-year secret relationship he’s stuck in, which makes his character so raw and realistic. I also adore W. Somerset Maugham’s works—his stories are profound yet easy to follow, like The Moon and Sixpence and The Razor’s Edge. I actually don’t read many BL novels and only got into them because of this TV show, so I’m wondering if anyone who relates to these favorites can share some book recommendations? I prefer reads that are easy to understand, but not overly romance-focused to the point of being boring—either with compelling, unputdownable plots or a touch of meaningful, thought-provoking themes
