Washington Irving’s book about Alhambra, Granada is quite interesting.

The Lions of al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay. It’s shelved as fantasy, but it’s more of an alt-historical, set in a world analogous to medieval Spain as the Reconquista got underway. I read it for the first time maybe 25 years ago (and have re-read it at least a dozen times since), and doing so absolutely planted the seeds for my own trip to Andalusia in 2016.
I hope you have a wonderful time. I was in raptures the entire 3 weeks I was there. I don’t know how your itinerary looks, but Ronda was the one place I was not prepared to love as much as I did.
