Hello, this is my first time in this thread so i don't know if im doing it properly but recently I've been searching for books with zero romance while being preferably a crime mystery horror with psychological aspects. The main issue i run into is allot of crime mystery books ive read have to do with this gritty detective and his wife, i don't want any of that.
I really like these in my books around the mystery
– cannibalism
– a serial killer while a detective looks for him
– an unknown or creepy entity
– stalking
– non-fiction
I'd find all of these interesting.

Check out *The Silence of the Lambs* if you haven’t already – pure psychological cat and mouse between Clarice and Hannibal with zero romantic subplot bullshit. Also *In the Woods* by Tana French is solid for that creepy unknown entity vibe, detective work stays focused on the case rather than his love life
