Anyone have some recommendations for books on constitutional law, the history of the founding era (with a focus on its influence on the Constitution), and any particularly good biographies/memoirs of judges/justices?
For context: I'm a lawyer specializing in constitutional litigation, hence my interest in these topics. I've recently read The Bill of Rights and America's Constitution, A Biography by Akhil Reed Amar. I appreciate his "liberal originalist" perspective and the historical context he provides, but I'd like to expand my horizons a bit. I'm also currently reading Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice by Judge Tatel and am really enjoying it. Any similar recommendations (not limited by political perspective unless massively biased) are much appreciated.
Thanks!
