Been running across too many Romances lately that have a female m/c who is either a virgin, sexually inexperienced, or is practically a born-again virgin because it's been so long since the last time she had sex.

Also, frequently, if an ex is mentioned, they're usually evil, or they failed to satisfy the FMC.

Wondering if any book-lovers out there know of any books where it's the opposite? Where the female lead is coming into the relationship with some sexual experience, and if she does have baggage, it's not from an evil ex?

Not really looking for a dynamic where the situation is flipped: Sexually Experienced FMC, with Virgin MMC. I don't like the idea of turning one half of a pair into a simping doormat just to make the other partner look better in comparison. BUT, I do like books with strong characters and good character development.

So if there are books with strong, sexually-experienced FMCs paired with equally strong, inexperienced MMCs, I could go for that.

Some examples of what I'm looking for (mind you, it doesn't have to be erotica)

Nora Sutherlin from Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series

When we first meet her, she's a popular Dominatrix by night, who has aspirations to one day become a full-time writer. Her editor, Zachary Easton, does have sexual experience, but has none when it comes to BDSM. Their relationship takes off from there.

Ally and Alan from Stjepan Sejic's Mercy series.

Of the two, Ally is definitely more aggressive partner in the friends-with-benefits relationship. Also being a series featuring BDSM, Domming comes more naturally to Ally than it does to Alan. But, being good friends, they help support each other through a hobby that they both enjoy, helping each other find confidence and skill along the way.

    1. Flesh and fire novel by Jennifer Armentrout has this. Experienced FMC, inexperienced MMC. More romantasy than romance though
