I want to read about Sojourner Truth, do you have any suggestions?
I checked the reviews of Narrative of Sojourner Truth on Goodreads and there were some critics that Oliver Gilbert(the writer) interrupted Truth's account a lot and gave her own opinions etc.

I’d recommend “Sojourner Truth: A Life, A Symbol” by Nell Irvin Painter – it’s way more balanced and actually digs into the myths vs reality of her story. The Gilbert narrative definitely has that white savior editor vibe going on
