Hi, please help me find a (prose) book with commentary/critique of social norms and ethos in society. Basically depicting how completely alien values can be normalized and maintained by the general will, not solely by some evil elite organization/party. How easily people can fall in line, put their head down and believe in propaganda; How the same people generate their own propaganda and educate their children; The pressures to conform in every social space, and the consequences if you don't; The conflict of public vs individual interest and opinion etc.
Link in the comments for reference(vibes).
