I binged quit a few youtube videos about historical Jesus and early christian movements, and it sounds like a perfect base for mysteries/thrillers…
So what I want: a book about modern scientist that studies Jesus as a historical figure/Mary Magdalen/unknown gospels/early sects etc.. but more like from historical point of view, not religious. Perfect if their research would be somehow connected to our time and would have some stakes. It could be a mystery, a thriller or even something with a bit of fantasy/magic.
Something Dan Brown-ish but not Dan Brown himself bc I read everything as a child and now it reads as a cheap pulp fiction… sorry. And also a weird analogy but I loved Queen of the Damned book bc it connects events six thousands years ago with modern (more or less) characters. You know the vibe, right?..
My first thought was The Name of the Rose but its historical + more historical and right now I earn for modern research, you know…
And as a last resort: if there's nothing about the emergence of christianity in the first centuries AD I would be happy to hear about everything above but with historical research in general. Bur reeeally mysterious!
