I want to read the book before I watch the movie. But I’m SO BORED! I’m only about 4 chapters in. I have been reading a lot of thrillers lately and it’s hard for me to get into romance without good spice (I know, I know). Tell me this book is worth it or if I should skip!

Life is too short to make yourself do something you don’t want to and don’t HAVE to. Go watch the movie. Forget the book.
Honestly it picks up around chapter 6-7 when the dual timeline stuff starts getting interesting, but if you’re looking for spice you might be disappointed – it’s more emotional slow burn than steamy
Controversial opinion but I’ve found watching the movie first makes the book even better. The other way never works.

Will agree it’s a bit dragging, I much preferred the 7 year slip for a “new” romance book
The book was meh to me. I thought Poppy was really annoying as a narrator. I did get bored at times but I don’t like leaving books unfinished. I still plan to watch the movie tho, I love both actors. I heard it’s a little different from the book.
