The title says it all. I am looking for Women's fiction with slowburn romance that ends in a sad conclusion henge it can't be classified as romance.
Preferably with some deeper topics woven in, a book that really pulls your heartstrings.
I'm sort of looking for a book in the realms of the Boys of Tommen series, but then for an older audience and not guaranteed HEA.
I've tried asking bookstore workers, but with no real succes yet. They often recommended; me before you or anything Nicolas Sparks (which are quite fitting, but not refreshing and already known)
