Hey, I've been reading the manga Berserk and I've been thinking that I'd probably enjoy it more if it was like a regular book instead of manga format, so I've been wondering if there's similar books to it. Doesn't necessarily have to be medieval action fantasy like Berserk, but just something dark with super deep and complex characters would be great. Thanks in advance!

The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie hits that same brutal, morally gray vibe perfectly. Bayaz and Logen especially have that complex character development where you’re never quite sure if they’re heroes or monsters
