I am about to finish reading Onyx Storm today and this is my first time reading a series like this and I really enjoyed it. What book series would you recommend to read after this?
Also if there's any on kindle unlimited that would be great.

Sanderson or Tolkien, that way you get a taste for good fantasy.
You might check out Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy, which is also YA and is fairly dark, as is the Empyrean series.
If you haven’t read all The Hunger Games books and again want dark YA that is dystopian, this is another choice.
If you want to branch out part YA:
I recommend Ilona Andrews Kate Daniel’s series, first book Magic Bites.
Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, first book Storm Front
Jeanine Frost’s Night Huntress series, first book One Foot in the Grave
