I love the feel of the castle in Harry Potter and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations with a good plot? Also I'm not opposed to romance but I would like something where the genre isn't specifically romance. Preferably historical fiction or fantasy if it's easy to read/follow as I'm new to fantasy

Fortress in the Eye of Time by C. J. Cherryh. Heads up, this author has a slower paced, character-driven writing style that some find hard to get into.
I’m reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell rn among a few others and there is some lovely gothic architecture described with talking statues and carvings alas I have said too much !!! I enjoy run on sentences btw
