i’ve tried to get into fantasy forever but never could until reading daughter of the forest which became an instant favorite and i miss sorcha all the time already 😭 i plan to read all of juliet marillier’s other books but i was wondering if anyone could help me find more authors i’ll like too?
things i like about juliet marillier:
– medieval setting (i don’t think i like contemporary or futuristic fantasy, i like medieval because it gives that fairytale vibe!)
– not needed but i do love the fairytale retelling!
– romance but it’s not the main plot at all, it’s still more fantasy than romantasy
– strong platonic bonds (friends, family, or even animal companions)
– i do love a damsel in distress moment, it’s a guilty pleasure 😭
