I compete in dramatic interpretation for speech and debate and am looking for a new script! I love seeing people perform scenes from memoirs and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good piece to do — looking for something that touches upon serious topics (war, dv, loss, etc.) I’m Chinese so if there’s anything pertaining to the communist regime or culturally significant that would be great too! Thank you!

Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. If you don’t know who she was, she was the most outspoken of the sex trafficking victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell. She committed suicide not long before the book’s publication. I cried for her so many times. It was gut wrenching, appalling, and heartbreaking.
