I want to read a book that feels like watching a Nicolas Cage movie, one like Long Legs, Mom & Dad, Mandy, something sorta dark comedy, with an insane or unstable protagonist. Really just something unhinged!
I just read His & Hers, All The Sinners Bleed, Yellowface and The 3 Lives of Cate Kay.

Big Swiss by Jen Beagin I think matches this up pretty nicely.
Long Live Evil by Sarah Rees Brennan is the first book I thought of. It’s about a young woman with cancer who, instead of dying, is sucked into the Game of Thrones books (not called that in the story but that’s what it is) and takes the place of one of the villains. She jumps into her part with relish. The whole thing is crazy and campy and over the top and I had so much fun reading it.
