– involves a lot of pining especially pining from a woman to a man but mutual pining also works
Don’t want:
– death of just one of the characters (if they both die at the end that’s fine but I don’t want Romeo and Juliet, it’s too easy and I have other reasons I don’t wanna use it)
– for either of them to be in love with someone else for the majority of the story
– a story centered around a love triangle or infidelity (cheating IS ok if the person is like only partnered out of obligation not love)

Not super important imo but if you feel like more context would help, this is a fanfiction for Peanuts specifically for Schroeder and Lucy and they’re aged up and it’s set in 1969. For this scene, Lucy is reading a classic romance story and imagining herself and Schroeder in it and so it needs to vaguely mirror their dynamic or at least some of the themes of their dynamic
