By that I mean a character that is radically(?) good. Like people around them might try and persuade them not to save people, but their heart demands that they do.
Preferably one that isn’t a push-over either, like they’d crucify slave masters.

There is a key character in Brandon Sanderson’s series Stormlight Archives that I think fits this bill. The character is Kaladin, and he tries to help people that others have given up on. Most of this takes place in the first book, The Way of Kings.
I am still mad at the last episode of Game of Thrones for how they completely changed Daenerys’ character. She deserved a better finish to her story.
