The bluest eye – Toni Morrison
Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
I read this two days ago. It’s one of the most beautiful books I’ve had the pleasure of reading – it wrecked me. Basically we need to look outside of ourselves to find meaning within our life. The book is told in two parts, part one discusses his time in the concentration camp while part two focuses on his theory of logotherapy.
Lark Ascending by Silas House
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
Demon Copperhead – Barbara Kingsolver. I went on an emotional roller coaster for the main character with that one. One of my all time favorite reads for sure!
The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne
In Powder Blue by Nikolas Pleiadi. It made me laugh and cry and me on the edge of my seat. It had so much ranges the dialouge is so real It’s one of those books that feels less like a story and more like being dropped straight into someone’s real life. It’s raw and dark and painfully honest about grief, addiction, family, and a side of organized crime that isn’t glamorous at all. There’s no tough guy fantasy here, just real consequences, real damage, and a lot of complicated love tangled up with bad decisions.
I actually had to pause a few times while reading because certain moments hit a little too close to home. It’s intense, but it never feels forced or try hard, and it stayed with me long after I finished. If you like crime stories that carry real emotional weight or books that feel lived in instead of polished and artificial, this one is absolutely worth your time.
I already passed my copy along to someone else because it felt like the kind of book you don’t keep to yourself. The author was even featured in the news recently as one of the defining New Yorkers of 2025 there were moments that really genuinely caught me off guard I CANNOT wait for the new prequel which dives deeper into the family
Children of Time. It has so much going on. I can’t believe that it came from someone’s mind. Beautiful.
*Stoner* by John Williams. I wept.
The last hour of Gann by R Lee Smith. Look it up on here and read the comments talking about how completely it devastated them and will stay with them forever. Trust me, this one is a rare gem.
My Friends by Fredrik Backman. So moving
