Hello!
Every year, a friend and I do a Book Bingo to motivate ourselves to read more. We love including weird or funny categories to keep things interesting, but we’ve officially run out of ideas! Is anyone feeling creative or inspired enough to suggest some new ones?
• A book recommended by a total stranger on the street/ cafe
• A book you saw a stranger reading on public transport (you must ask them if it’s good).
• Your parent's absolute favorite book of all time.
• A copy physically autographed by the author.
• A book where the writer and protagonist are different genders.
• A book with a number in the title (that isn't a year).
• A story told with absolutely no chapter breaks.
• A book you were forced to study in school that you’re re-reading for fun.
• A book with a cover so "crappy" or embarrassing you felt weird holding it.
• A title that is at least 10 words long.
• A book set in the city or town where you currently live.
• A book that was published the same year you were born.

These are great ideas! I might use a few of these for myself.
Here’s a few others to consider that I’m going to try as well:
• a second-chance book by an author whose work you’ve read before and disliked
• a book chosen at random with your eyes closed as you walk through an aisle in a library running your fingers over the spines and stopping when it feels right
• a book that is 100 pages long
• a book that someone who isn’t a reader picks out for you (I’m currently doing this one)
