Hello to you all.
I’m looking for new ‘interesting’ reading.
Recently I deleted most of my social media that I frequented the most and if I didn’t delete it, I definitely removed it off of my phone. I’m working on being more focused on my life, growth and development, and spending less time looking at a screen.
I’m looking for new things to pick up. Reading that helps me expand my horizons. Challenges my thinking, allows for growth, so to speak.
I’m big on non fiction, political and social sciences, philosophy, biographies, finance, black revolution, etc
I also have an interest in psychology but I tend to always see those ‘self help’ type of books and those turn me way off from diving into that field.
Ive read or I am currently reading authors such as Isabel Wilkerson, Alex Haley, Ta Nehisi Coates, Angela Davis, Benjamin Graham, Charles Munger, Jasmine Guy, Robert Caro, DuBois, Kahlil Gibran, James Baldwin
Books such as The Power Broker, Critical Race Theory, Huey Newton, Caste, The Warmth of Other Suns, The Color of Law, Liner Notes of the Revolution, etc
Not big on fiction.
Any recommendations ? Especially in the area of Psychology.

My most recent read was The Experience Machine by Andy Clark and it was awesome. It doesn’t assume prior knowledge, and the core idea is one I’ve seen before, but the broad presentation of the “predicting brain” tipped me into revisiting much of my reading through the lens of the model in the way prior exposures didn’t.
