Hey, so I love to read, probably about 3 books a week. Im an aspiring author (shock). Just wanted to get some recommendations for horror and thriller books that are based in realism, stuff that could potentially happen in real life, I find that to be infinitely more terrifying than any supernatural threat.
My favourite books of all time are: the wasp factory by Iain banks, Alex by Pierre lemaitre, intensity by dean koontz, when the wolf comes home by Nat Cassidy, the library at mt char by Scott Hawkins, penpal by dathan auerbach, and brother by Ania ahlborn. (I know not all of these are completely realistic but most are based in reality which helps to make it feel realistic)
Any books that have massive twists that most people don’t see coming, or books that have emotional devastation at the end it what I’m looking for. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
