i'm what you would call an iPad kid. i have an attention span of 3 seconds, i lack of critical thinking skills, have to read a sentence 5 times before i can comprehend it… you know, all the fun stuff.

i decided to work on myself and become a better person, and the first step is to start reading books, which i haven't done in many years.

i think i'm more drawn to nonfiction books. i find it more interesting to read about real life experiences rather than read a story that someone made up in their head.

any suggestions for books that are nonfiction and are easy to read? about people's interesting life stories or interesting events that happened to them.

    not self help books please.

English is also not my first language, so i prefer books that are written in simple English (not Shakespearean English or anything like that).

I'd really appreciate any suggestions. thanks 🙂

What about something like the DK Eyewitness books as a way to ease in? Shorter blocks of text with lots of images, so you can work your way up in tolerance to reading something longer

Can I suggest audiobooks? Might help get your attention span before leaping into reading. As for non fiction recommendations
