I am a sucker for dragons. I will endure the worst media for the possibility of a dragon. Super old, wise, dinosaur creature with wings that spits fire? I just think they're neat. Good, evil, I don't care. Books with non-european depictions of "dragons" like quetzacoatl get bonus points!

Dude you gotta check out the Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin – the dragons are ancient and speak in the old speech, plus they’re not just mindless beasts but have their own complex society. Also Robin Hobb’s Liveship Traders has some wild takes on dragons that’ll blow your mind, especially once you get to the Rain Wild Chronicles
