Hey all,
I’m looking for book recommendations that hit that classic action-adventure, treasure-hunt feel.
Think:
• Ancient ruins and lost civilizations
• Archaeology or history mixed with myth
• Exotic locations, puzzles, traps, secret societies
• Fast pacing, high stakes, cinematic energy
Basically the vibe of Indiana Jones, Uncharted, or Tomb Raider—but in book form.
I’m open to standalone novels or series. Modern or classic is fine, and I don’t mind a little supernatural or speculative stuff as long as it keeps that adventurous tone.
If you’ve got favorites in this lane, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

Gabriella Rose by Janet Evanovich is definitely inspired by Indiana Jones. (Her Knight and Moon series is also globe trotting adventure, but not archeology.)
She definitely has a unique voice, though. I find it really enjoyable, but it’s strong enough that her main characters feel like similar people in different life paths.
