Hey all I am reading armor currently, have also read the forever war, Enders game and now I am looking for something else in that genre. I have read some 40k books but would like a shorter series than the Horus heresy. I did t care for Hyperion, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Old Man’s War Series – John Scalzi (if you like Forever War will probably like this too)
Terminal World – Alistair Reynolds (or another A.R. book such as Revelation Space or Pushing Ice)
Murderbot series – Martha Wells (most of the series are short books, great main character, sarcastically funny. Lots of action.
Still long but the best 40k series is gaunts ghosts…
Every book tells a unique story, but for character development you need to read them in order.
The first one is the weakest in the whole series. My personal favorites are book two and book three.
