Hi all! I have been struggling to find a book that really captivates me, and my ADHD really affects that too. Could someone please suggest me a book based off my reading history?
In the past I have really enjoyed:
The one by John Mars
the last house on needless st by catriona ward
They both die at the end by Adam Silva
The child called it by David Pelzer
Hidden Pictures rekulak (only 80% of it then hated the end)
The exorcist
handmaid tale
hungergames
Haunting on hill house
come closer by sara gran
and books i hated:
The first to die at the end by adam silvera
five total strangers by natalie richards
haunted by chuck planuk (not bc it was fucked up, more so the writing style)
and currently i am reading a little life (seems very slow and hard to keep my attention but i’m interested in the premise)
overall, i usually like horror, thrillers, sometimes intense scifi/fantasy books, dystopian, sometimes very tragic books that could make me cry, and just really dark shocking stuff. I’m looking for something that can draw me in very quickly and keep me engaged.
any suggestions will be much appreciated!

For dark/shocking maybe My Dark Vanessa or Tender is the Flesh.
I found A Little Life to be unnecessarily wordy and pretentious.
I think that you would really enjoy A World We Never Knew by D. R. Long (its FREE today on Amazon).
Have you tried any of Gillian Flynn’s novels yet?
I would suggest any pick of hers. IMHO she is the best of the best in terms of modern thriller authors.
