Give me East/Southeast Asian fiction written during the 19th to 21st centuries

I can count multiple works of European literature written during the 19th and 20th centuries (Wuthering Heights, Frankenstein, War and Peace, Crime and Punishment), but when it comes to Asian literature I usually get recommended stuff mainly written in the late 20th or 21st centuries, and most of it is from Japan (Yukio Mishima, Osamu Dazai). Even worse is the fact that outside of East Asia there's barely any recommendations I can find for Southeast Asian literature which sucks for me since I'm Indonesian-American. Will take any recs, although I kind of want to see if there's a weird/new weird fiction scene there
