I’ve realized recently that my “happy” books (don’t have to be happy stories) are about community building in unexpected ways. Some it’s about overcoming loneliness, some about acceptance, some about a common goal. Books I’ve loved that fit include Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting, Vera Wong’s Advice for Murderers, and a plethora of WWII books where people join together in resistance. What have you loved that fits this?! I want more on my list to pick up so the world feels (very slightly) less heavy and divided.
