Books that have cool color illustrations, but not comics?
I just really want to make use of my color e-reader, but I don't want to read picture books or comics. I'd like something that's primarily text, with an occasional image. I'm open to any genre! Any suggestions?
Have you checked out any of the illustrated editions of fantasy novels? The newer Tolkien books have some gorgeous artwork scattered throughout, and theres also those fancy illustrated Harry Potter editions that came out a few years back. For something different, coffee table books about art or photography can be pretty text-heavy while still showing off your color display. Neil Gaiman’s mythology books often have really nice illustrations too without being picture books.
