Non cringe, overly soppy romances?

I’m not, and have never been, a fan of romance books but I’d like to give it a try.

Ive found myself really liking the Netflix show Nobody Wants This. It’s quite funny, oddly realistic? And quite raw at times.

I I don’t like things that are overly lovey dovey or soppy. It needs to feel real. I have adhd so I struggle to read if books take a while to get into things so anything with a hook at the beginning and shortish chapters would be a bonus.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend something I might like based on the above? 🙂
