My partner and I just finished listening to the Harry Potter series together. It was nice to have something to do together in the evening that wasn’t just watching tv!
We’re now on the hunt for other books that we could listen to. A series would be great, but it doesn’t have to be that. We both read on our own as well, so we have a pretty good sense of what genres we like.
I’m hoping for some suggestions in any of the following categories:
– Contemporary Fiction (I know this is broad, some we have liked in recent years: Pachinko, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Normal People, A Little Life)
– Horror (for joint listening, closer to Let the Right In or Haunting of Hill House, rather than something like House of Leaves or Lovecraft)
– Detective/crime/thriller
– Classic fiction
