I’ve got a book I’m desperate to read arriving tomorrow or the day after and I’m about to spend a whole day with no power due to some electrical works taking place.

Sooooo what short and easy reads would you suggest to tide me over?

    1. Maybe have a look at Irish author Claire Keegan’s work? Short novella’s, but excellent, spare writing which really packs a punch. She’s brilliant imo.

    2. Robert B. Parker – any book in Spenser series, or Jesse Stone series. Preferably the ones that he wrote, not the ones officially ghosted by others after his passing

Maybe “Evidence of the affair” by Taylor J.R. or “Mr. Salary” by Sally Rooney. Both are super short and page-turners
