Books about love that change the way you look at life

I’m not a big fan of romance, mostly because I’m not familiar with them. I have this not-so-sudden urge to read up on books about love for some reason.

To be clear, while I am mainly looking for romance, I am interested in any book that makes you really think about love, not a shallow love based on affection or attraction. The type of book that makes you think about the love between a hummingbird and a flower.

I want to look at the sky after I finish reading it and it looks just a little bit prettier. I want it to make my heart feel empty while simultaneously giving me the will to live.

They don’t have to be tragic, as long as they evoke these feelings.
