Ok- I have a very varied (say that 10 times fast, lol) taste in books but I'm very particular about what I DON'T like… I'm a girl but I'm not into romance/rom-com heavy stuff. Obvi, I'm fine with relationships, but don't make the whole thing about unrequited love or dying lovers or whatnot. And I'm not huge on things that pull my emotional heart strings. To be frank, I've got enough emotional drama in my real life. I'm looking for an escape!

That being said, here are some of my absolute favorite books/series…

    Battle Royale

Early Blake Crouch (he's gotten a little too intelligent for me in his last 2 books. I'm not that smart!)

Most Stephen King but especially his outliers like Fairy Tale and 11.22.63. I also LOVE the Bachman books, especially Running Man and The Long Walk.

Harry Potter. Sorry, but it's amazing. IDC what anyone says. 🙂

    Dungeon Crawler Carl

    He Who Fights With Monsters

    The Walking Dead comic series

FantasticLand (OMG, if you haven't already, listen to this audiobook. It's so awesome!)

    The Mistborn Trilogy

    The Wheel of Time Series

The Count of Monte Cristo and The 3 Musketeers (Alexandre Dumas)

Anything Sherlock or based on Sherlock. I love mysteries.

    Most Brad Meltzer novels

    Most Dean Koontz novels

    The original Bourne Trilogy

The Westing Game (yes, it's for kids, but it was the first book I was ever IN LOVE with.)

    Shutter Island

    Most John Grisham novels

And Then There Were None (I love a locked room mystery)

    Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Most anything by Brom but especially Krampus and The Child Thief

The Kingkiller Chronicles (if he will EVER write the 3rd book! George RR Martin, much?!)

Speaking of GRRM, his series was pretty good. I never saw the show though.

On the softer side, I love Pat Conroy novels. And I hate to admit it, but I loved the Sookie Stackhouse series too.

Obviously, I love mysteries, dystopian futures (I liked Hunger Games, but I'm sick to death of it so I didn't add it), magic worlds, and horror/thriller. And, of course, anything that's genuinely a new idea, at least to me.

So what do y'all recommend for me??? I'm so excited to hear what ANYONE has to say! 🙂 Oh, and please let me know if your suggestion is a good audiobook! I read and I listen depending on the narrator and my commute that day.

    THANK YOU!
