Hello! going to Norway soon and I would like to bring along a book related somewhat. I know trolls are big in Norway, so does anyone have any recommendation related? I love non fiction too. Anything historic is also great too.
For folktales, the classic would be the collection *Norwegian Fairytales,* also known by the names of its collectors as “Asbjørnsen and Moe.”
For English translations, the modern one is [*The Complete and Original Norwegian Folktales of Asbjørnsen and Moe*](https://mitpressbookstore.mit.edu/book/9781517921040) by Tiina Nunnally. I haven’t read her translation but it was well received and her translation of Hans Christian Andersen was excellent.
