Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some quiet, emotional, slice-of-life book recommendations.
Recently I read:
- Sputnik Sweetheart
- Days at the Morisaki Bookshop
- More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop
I loved the first two — especially the introspective tone, loneliness, gentle relationships, and the calm, reflective pacing.
More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop was okayish for me, but it didn’t hit as hard as the first one.
I’m not specifically looking for Japanese books — any country or author is fine — but I’d love something with:
- Soft, melancholic vibes
- Focus on everyday life and emotions
- A reflective or slightly lonely atmosphere
- Not too plot-heavy or fast-paced
If you have recommendations that feel quiet, comforting, and emotionally resonant, I’d really appreciate them.
Thanks in advance.
