I realized that I am a person that learns from example, specifically example from other people. Recently I read Hagakure – The Way of The Samurai, and it's one of those books that got me to straighten my life and double my productivity even more than it already was. The last time I had such an emotional and intellectual experience was while watching Gambit on Netflix. Books and movies that tell motivating stories or about the lives of extremely productive and focused people motivate me to work and contribute to my community. Does anyone else feel like this? Can you give me any books, tv shows or movies that gave you the same feeling? Here are some of my examples:
- The Wolf of Wallstreet
- Ivory Carver trilogy
- The Descent (the book by Jeff Long not the movie)
- The Prince by Machiavelli
- Gambit
- Any books or media on the topic of Marie Curie
- Oppenheimer movie
- Memoirs of famous artists and scientists from history
I'm not looking for non-fiction self motivation books of the type Deep Work or Atomic Habits just to be clear, I've already read them and honestly while they're great books in their own right, actual real stories of hyper productive and focused people on their craft motivate me a lot more.

dude you might really dig “born to run” by bruce springsteen – his memoir is wild and shows how obsessive he got about perfecting his craft 🔥 also “the boys in the boat” about the 1936 olympic rowing team, there so focused and driven it’s honestly inspiring to watch them grind through everything 😂
