I'm in the mood to listen to a romance or something with romance — suggest me your faves or good recent reads?
Some of my favorites have been:
Me Before You
Grace After Henry
Rebecca
The Chemist
The Language of Flowers
Prefer no/low spice, no YA, and no fantasy

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary and The Summer Job by Lizzy Dent
**Last night by Mhairi McFarlane’s**: her books are no to very low spice, Last Night is my favourite of hers
**Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola**: this one has one spice scene
**The blue castle by L.M. Montgomery**: this is one of my favourite classics and has a lot of gorgeous descriptions of nature
h{A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson}. The bot has it as YA but it’s not really.
Have you ever read “ye olde romance”? Victorian-Edwardian era stuff? I hate spice, and these are perfect for that. Yet the romances are so sweet and it’s this glimpse into a slice of life I know absolutely NOTHING about, the British minor noblemen circle.
I’d recommend *Regency Buck*, *Far From the Madding Crowd*, *The Woman In White* (more horror/suspense than romance, but romance included), *Jane Eyre* and anything else by Georgette Heyer. Since you said you’re going to listen to it, I can recommend all the editions of these books that are on Spotify premium, I’ve listened to all of them.
