While reading DE RE AEDIFICATORIA by Leon Battista AlbertiĀ (1450 ad) i came accross a intresting idea he put forward in the so called "third part" of such works (these being 10 volumes); the idea that there is such thing as a objective, mathematical beauty (in architecture) characterized by things such as symmetry-now i am unsure and if anything doubtful that such concept is upheld today but i am not familiar at all with writings on architecture, so if anyone knows of any book that treats this topic (ideally in a positive manner) i would be more then thankful.
