Survival in the Outback stories. Fiction.

I've just read a book with a plane crash in Kakadu. It was about half romance and half survival, but they weren't rescued in a matter of days. It was closer to two years before they walked out. (Yay, for self rescue!)

Are there other fiction novels with plane crashes, car breakdown, getting lost (etc) in the Outback with survival overtones?
