I've been having a bit of a dry spell when it comes to books recently. I want to read something that is dark and engrossing, something that will make me want to read on because I have to know what happens. I love a good atmospheric book as well.
I usually associate this with fast-paced mystery thrillers but I want to get out of my comfort zone and not read them all the time.
I like most genres of fiction, but I do struggle with high fantasy. Maybe it's not for me.
Currently reading Lucky Day by Chuck Tingle which is definitely dark and intriguing.
Some recent reads I had were Play Nice by Rachel Harrison and Comfort Me With Apples by Catheryne Valente. I preferred Play Nice, I liked the haunting aspect.
