Dystopian world with true slow burn and but no flirting/superficial attitude.
I'm tired of books where the two protagonists meet and flirt from the second chapter onward, only to have sex halfway through, especially when he's a fuckboy.
I'd like a book that has real tension and slow burn between the male and female protagonists, and where he's extremely protective, yet kind.
I'd like it to have the vibes of Four (Divergent), Cole (Branded) and Peeta (The Hunger Games).

Quiet at the End of the World by Lauren James. The characters have known each other their entire lives, but they’ve only ever been friends. The dystopian part is also really cool. Humans have almost died out and these are the youngest people on the planet.
