just finished "a little life" and "flowers for algernon" back to back and now i'm just staring at a wall tbh. i need a book that's absolutely soul-crushing and will ruin my entire week, any genre is fine. what's the one book that genuinely wrecked you?!

The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum. Awful book but one of my favourites. That’s actually the only book that has ever scared me.
